Botanika - słownik litera B

Botanika jest to dział biologii obejmujący całokształt zjawisk związanych bezpośrednio lub pośrednio z roślinami. Nazwa "botanika" wywodzi się od greckiego słowa "botane" (roślina, zieleń, owoc). Za prekursora tej nauki uważa się Teofrasta, który w swojej publikacji "Historia Plantarum" (pochodzącej z około 300 r. p.n.e.) opisał różnice między roślinami a zwierzętami. W tymże dziele podzielił on świat roślinny na cztery grupy. Stworzył tym samym pierwszą systematykę świata roślinnego. Podział stworzony przez Teofrasta przetrwał do 1583 roku. Za pierwszą nowożytną systematykę roślin uważa się książkę "De Plantibus" autorstwa włoskiego uczonego (filozofa,botanika,lekarza) Andrea Cesalpino, w której podzielił on ówcześnie znane rośliny na 15 klas. W ciągu następnych 150 lat swój wkład w rozwój botaniki wnieśli m.in. Robert Hooke, Marcello Malpighi,Joachim Jung,Rudolf Jakob Camerarius oraz Karol Linneusz. Ten ostatni opublikował w 1737 roku "Genera Plantarum" - dzieło, które stało się podstawą do stworzenia nowoczesnych systemów klasyfikacyjnych roślin aż do dnia dzisiejszego. Do botaniki tradycyjnej (wg Teofrasta) zalicza się również nauki zajmujące się grzybami,glonami, porostami, sinicami oraz pierwotniakami.

rozsadnik - specjalnie przygotowane tymczasowe miejsce, przeznaczone do wysiewu nasion oraz wzrostu młodych roślin do czasu przesadzenia ich na miejsce stałe.

bulwa - słownik litera B

bulwa - organ spichrzowy roślin dwu- lub wieloletnich wykształcający jeden lub wiele pąków liściowych. Bulwa powstaje w wyniku zgrubienia pędu lub korzenia.
